Absolutely can't wait for this fantastic event. Remember this is the BIGGEST and BEST vintage event in the whole of East Anglia, so don't miss out!

There will be clothes, accessories, trends, lifestyle, music, homeware and much more from the 1920s to the 1970s. And not forgetting the fabulous Vogue Tea Room!

Run along to Brentwood School, Middleton Hall Lane, Brentwood, Essex CM15 8EE this Sunday.

Hello campers!

I'm off to Dorset tomorrow for a whole week, hooray!!!!

Don't worry everyone, we've packed the brolly........!

The weather might not be brilliant, but even in the April showers Dorset is still beautiful.
We'll be visiting old haunts and exploring new places. We are sure to pop into Dorchester, Bridport and Lyme Regis along the way for some serious vintiquing (Sorry for the awfully trendy word there!).

But remember, while I'm away you can still buy some of my work in 2 fabulous shops!!!

There is absolutely loads of my stuff in THE BIG SOCIETY DEPARTMENT STORE at 106 Hamlet Court Road in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex. Have just put some new things in there as well, so hurry along!

WORK IN PROGRESS!

Hello everyone, has been as manic as ever at work and at play recently!!

As we have just had typical British holiday weather, thought I would show you some new works in progress to cheer everyone up!

Some bright and colourful summery seaside pictures!!

As always I'm using my own photos with some stunning vintage images added to them.
In the collage you will notice some famous buildings along Southend seafront with the 1950s beach babes (male and female!) enjoying the sunshine!

The other is one of the babes enjoying a day at Mersea Island, with the beautiful beach huts in the background.

Both of these are still only works in progress, so the may change at any time!

They may make an appearance at my next fair, the VINTAGE VOGUE FASHION & LIFESTYLE FAIR in Brentwood on April 29th, so come along to find out!

LOVE LEIGH DAY!

Here is a little report on another fantastic day at the BETTY BLUE EYES HANDMADE & VINTAGE FAYRE at Leigh last Saturday.

Lovely weather all day and over 70 stalls created a brilliant atmosphere at the Leigh Community Centre.

Some amazing traders were there, brimming with new ideas and fabulous things to buy. As always I spent loads on their stalls, from groovy 60s Paris Match magazines at TOOTBAGEYE http://www.tootbageye.co.uk/ to the most cutest Scandinavian creatures from NORDIC CHARM http://www.nordiccharm.co.uk

And the best news of the day was that over 1,000 people visited the fair, fantastic!!!

Hop along to Leigh-on-Sea Community Centre for a splendid day of vintage, handmade crafts and tea and cakes!!
I'll be showcasing some of my new designs and framed pictures. Alongside my DAZZLING DECADES series is the new I LOVE series, check out the picture below! Also, there will be an interesting range of books to compliment each decade.

MERSEA BEAUCOUP !

As the evenings are very slowly getting longer and the sun is sneaking out even more, I thought I would show you some pictures from a recent jaunt to sunny Mersea Island in Essex.

We had a glorious day of gorgeous sunshine, which was perfect for showing up the brightly painted beach huts on the long beach at West Mersea. The whole island is a beautiful place to visit, especially at this time of year when you can enjoy the place virtually for yourself. It really is one of Essex's hidden gems, with the mystery of the sea, interesting architecture and vast expanses of land and coastline that hold a staggering selection of birdlife.

When you have finished your amazing walk then you must visit the splendid Art Café for tea and cakes, and also browse the artwork from the locals!

NEW DATES!

Very pleased to announce some new, special dates for your diaries!

First of all I'm delighted to say I'll be at the next VINTAGE VOGUE: FASHION & LIFESTYLE FAIR in Brentwood on April 29th. This premier vintage event is the biggest in East Anglia, so I'm very proud to be a part of this prestigious fair.

Next up is the fantastic DOTTY SPARKLE'S VINTAGE AND HOMEMADE FAIR in Thorpe Bay on June 10th. This is a gorgeous fair that is getting bigger all the time. This is a must-see event all set in a lovely Art Deco hall.
