LOVE LEIGH DAY!

Here is a little report on another fantastic day at the BETTY BLUE EYES HANDMADE & VINTAGE FAYRE at Leigh last Saturday.

Lovely weather all day and over 70 stalls created a brilliant atmosphere at the Leigh Community Centre.

Some amazing traders were there, brimming with new ideas and fabulous things to buy. As always I spent loads on their stalls, from groovy 60s Paris Match magazines at TOOTBAGEYE http://www.tootbageye.co.uk/ to the most cutest Scandinavian creatures from NORDIC CHARM http://www.nordiccharm.co.uk

And the best news of the day was that over 1,000 people visited the fair, fantastic!!!

MERSEA BEAUCOUP !

As the evenings are very slowly getting longer and the sun is sneaking out even more, I thought I would show you some pictures from a recent jaunt to sunny Mersea Island in Essex.

We had a glorious day of gorgeous sunshine, which was perfect for showing up the brightly painted beach huts on the long beach at West Mersea. The whole island is a beautiful place to visit, especially at this time of year when you can enjoy the place virtually for yourself. It really is one of Essex's hidden gems, with the mystery of the sea, interesting architecture and vast expanses of land and coastline that hold a staggering selection of birdlife.

When you have finished your amazing walk then you must visit the splendid Art Café for tea and cakes, and also browse the artwork from the locals!

Very pleased to announce some new, special dates for your diaries!

First of all I'm delighted to say I'll be at the next VINTAGE VOGUE: FASHION & LIFESTYLE FAIR in Brentwood on April 29th. This premier vintage event is the biggest in East Anglia, so I'm very proud to be a part of this prestigious fair.

Next up is the fantastic DOTTY SPARKLE'S VINTAGE AND HOMEMADE FAIR in Thorpe Bay on June 10th. This is a gorgeous fair that is getting bigger all the time. This is a must-see event all set in a lovely Art Deco hall.

VINTAGE VICTORY REPORT!

Hello everyone!

Thanks to all who braved the snow and freezing weather to visit the VINTAGE VICTORY MARKET at Shenfield last Saturday!!

We had a fantastic winter wonderland drive from Westcliff-on-Sea to the venue and the ice-rink of a car park all added to the excitement!
Essex had been snowbound and frozen all week and a fresh snowfall on Friday sadly made a few traders unable to attend. But those brave souls who made the trip made it all a worthwhile day!

I actually ended up with a double table, so I was able to show all my stock that I brought along!
As this was a Valentine's market, I'm glad to say my brand new Valentine designs all did very well. I actually sold out of one design.
And my all new I LOVE decades series was very popular as well. Thanks to everyone who bought those!! And my Tipsy 20s collage made its debut, to complete the DAZZLING DECADES series!

Nice to see my new stock of vintage themed books brought a lot of interest. I've carefully selected these to add a new side to my stall. I'm always looking for new vintage themed things, so keep a look out at my next market!

VINTAGE VALENTINE!

Just a little reminder that I'll be at the VINTAGE VICTORY MARKET this Saturday!

As it will be aValentine's Day themed market, I've produced some brand new cards especially for the day.
All vintage inspired, I've chosen some lovely vintage images and made them into special cards for special people!

And if that wasn't enough, I will be showcasing yet another brand spanking new series of cards...

My I LOVE series is an offshoot of my ever popular DAZZLING DECADES range.

They simply proclaim your love for each decade, from the 1930s to the 1980s!
For example, if your favourite era is the 1970s, it has huge retro letters saying  
I LOVE THE 1970s with an iconic 70s Ford Cortina.
Or if you prefer the 1950s there is a Picture Show magazine from 1956 featuring Frank Sinatra.
